I want to take the day to say some of the things that I am thankful for........
First I am thankful that God gave me the chance to be a mother and not just to my 4 month old baby. I am thankful everyday that I get the chance to be with my three step-daughters. I am however extremely grateful that he allowed me the opportunity to have a child and get the experience of watching my "mini-me" grow before my eyes.
Next I am thankful for my husband. We have had our ups and downs, but through it all, I can honestly say that I would not take it back. He is a wonderful person that I am proud of more and more everyday, even if he doesn't think so......
I am very thankful for my wonderful mother. She keeps my baby while I work. I would have, without a doubt, had to quit my job if she had to go to daycare, which in turn would mean that we would be homeless since we are a two income family!!!!
I am thankful that God put my new job in my path. While I may not be able to see the long term benefits, the short term is that I get off work 2 hours earlier enabling me to spend more time with my family.
I am thankful to all the people in my life who never seem to let me down. They are there through and through and I probably do not say thank you enough.
I am thankful for my health...I see so many around me that are sick and/or dying. Thank you God for allowing me to be healthy and spend uninterrupted time with my family and friends.
It is very easy to think about the things that are "wrong" in our lives. We very rarely stop to think about all of the good that we have. We may not have the best job, but at least we have a job. We may not have the fanciest house, but at least we have a home to go to. My goal is to be more mindful when I start to complain and give thanks to the Lord for the things that he has blessed me with and to remind myself that everything is in His plan, even if it is not in mine.

That was really good, and I needed that today. :)
Praise God!
I am thankful for so many of the same things too!
Be blessed.

Ditto!
BTW... thanks for your sweet comment on my blog the other day. In response let me just say that I've found that teens/preteens can be quite masterful in hurting your feelings in the guise of trying to be "funny." I think it's all part of the awkwardness of that age and just not quite "getting it" at times.
And, you've got an entire year to plan your April Fool's Day revenge for next year. Revenge on kids... it's a good thing! Ha!
Blessings! Dawn
I'm visiting by way of Rhea's blog.
What a terrific post about things you're thankful for. How refreshing and nice to hear that.
Peace, Mary (crystalchick)
