New Blogger

So this is my first blog... I have to admit that I am a little behind the times even though I am only 29. I really did not know what a blog was until a friend of mine told me to go to her page and look at hers. As my brother has told me many times, I am not with the crowd when it comes to the newest things! Oh well, I've survived this long! Anyway, I think this will be a fun way for me to get all the stuff out of my head that never seems to go away. It's hard when you only have a 4 month old baby to talk to. She's a good listener most of the time, but she doesn't talk back so no advice or comments from her! She sleeps a good bit also, so she's very unavailable at times, but I guess it's good that she doesn't talk because she might tell my secrets!!!!

I guess I'll start with a little personal info. I am 29 as I said earlier. I have been married now for 5 years. This is my second marriage. I got married, stupidly, at age 20 and really did not want to, but was too afraid to hurt someones feelings. So, that lasted for 3 years. Divorced at 23, I thought no one would want me, but my current husband decided that he liked the damaged goods!!! He has three daughters from his first marriage, so I got a ready made family at the tender age of 23. A lot to take on, but I was willing. I never really imagined that it would develop into what it has now. I have been with the girls since the oldest was 7 and the twins were 4. I am it.... most of the time. Unfortunately, their mom is not around as much as they would like for her to be. I am glad to step up and be that for them, but I always seem to get the short end of the stick on the holidays, especially mother's day. I do all the work all year long and then somehow she seems to get the credit on that day. It really sucks! This year however, I will have a child that will not have to leave me on that day. I recently had my first biological child. I have waited so long for her and it took us quite a while to get her here. When she was born I found out what "love at first sight" is like (sorry honey!). She is the best baby and has been such a joy to watch her grow and learn over the past 4 months. She really is growing up too fast. Ok, back to the girls.....They all play softball and are all very good, if I do say so myself. They have been playing since they were little and all play travel ball. The oldest plays for her school team too. I anticipate the other two will as well. Next year will be a big transition year for us. Alyssa will be in the 9th grade and the twins will be in the 6th grade!! Middle schoolers and a high schooler! I cannot believe it. When my husband and I started dating, Alyssa was in second grade and the twins were not even in school yet. Wow, I feel very old all of the sudden! The past 6 years have been great, full of ups and downs and twists. Living in the house with 3 blooming female teens is an experience everyone should try at least once!! My poor hubby, a houseful of women. We need to get him a manly dog like a pit bull or something so he can have more testosterone in that house! Ah, my little husband....not really. He is a big man, 6'5", with lots of big muscles. Pretty intimidating to start with, but add that grimacing look he has and the deep voice and most people can be pretty terrified of him. But I'm here to tell you, he's a big softy! He cries more at movies than I do, and I love that about him. He also spends every free second with the girls. He coaches the twins softball team and cheers Alyssa on at her games. He would coach her, but I think they might kill each other, they are too much alike!

Well, I guess that is enough for now. I feel like I could go on for hours....but I'll spare you the details......this time!
